Forest City Surplus Airsoft Target Range
Today, I decided to revisit the Airsoft Target Range at Forest City Surplus and check out what improvements have been made. When I first got there, I saw the Top Shooter of the Month contest so I asked a bit about it. For $1.99, they arm you with a GNG FNC Herstal airsoft gun loaded with 12 airsoft BBs. Your objective is to rack up the best score you can with the 12 shots against the target. If you happen to be the top scoring sharp-shooter of the month, you are rewarded with a $50 gift certificate. Very cool.
If you want to practice up beforehand (or just want to shoot without entering the contest) you can buy a round of 50 shots (also fired with a GNG FNC Herstal airsoft gun) for just $2.99. Double it up to 100 rounds for only a dollar more. One of the new features they added for a bit of extra fun in the target range are drop-down zombie targets scattered around your target area. The zombie-target placement varies from up high to down low, from up front to far back. It's a fantastic test of skill and accuracy.
I should note that if you are under 18, you will need your parent's consent and supervision.
Happy shooting.

Do You Have The Right Airsoft Gun for Your Position?
When it comes to airsoft games having the right gun for the right position is important.
For example in a capture the flag style game a flag runner would not want to carry a large, bulky airsoft sniper rifle. A SMG (sub machine gun) or PDW (Personal Defence Weapon) like a MP5, GSG 522, P90, or M4 Carbine might be the best option for this position to lighten the load for this player.
A rifle like a M4, M16, G36, or AK47 is the great choice for medium to long range engagements. They are versatile rifles and give you the most options as to what role you can play for your team. [Submitted by admin]

New British Army Style L85A2 Now In Stock
We just got in G and G's airsoft version of the British Army's standard issue service rifle the SA80 L85A2.
The SA80 L85 has had a long history of service seeing British forces through the 1991 Persian Gulf War, Bosnian War, Kosovo War, Sierra Leone Civil War, Afghanistan, Iraq War to the present. It's bullpop design means it's better for CQB action without having to sacrifice barrel length. This has resulted in an airsoft gun that feels heavier to carry than other AEGs but due to it's shorter length just has a higher weight density. Our tester said that this higher weight density just gave the gun more of a big boy feel to it. This version comes with blowback action for extra realism. The look of this airsoft gun is improved by the fact this is the Canadian market version of this gun and it therefore features a black suppressor. The 450 BB high capacity magazine means you can lay down a lot of fire before having to reload. It's also field ready as G and G has included a 9.6 Volt 1600 MAh nunchuck airsoft battery and charger. Just add airsoft BBs and your ready to hit the field. [Submitted by admin]

Priceless Real World Sniper Tips And Tricks " Setting up and taking the shot"
Hello,
My name is Matt Trudel. Im also known by my operator call sign "Claymore". I'm here to give you the low down on some sniper tricks and tips my family has learned and passed down in years of serving in the Canadian armed forces as Elite marksmen or as some would call "snipers".
Now in this post im going to give you some tips to getting the perfect sniper set up and taking the shot. But first things first, some old myths i need to bust before going any further.
First myth. "Snipers always shoot from elevated positions"- well that could be no farther from the truth. There are multiple reasons but here are a few. First of all, yes it is nice having a clear view of the target area but that also means your targets have a clear view of you. Being up high is nice at times but if you need to get down fast and unseen it is a big pain in the rump. There were times when i seen people engaging targets from high up and i seen a wall of rounds returning at them. They had no chance at all. instant elimination. Secondly, the enemy will expect snipers to be up high. So if you stay low you will keep them guessing. thats all im going to say about that, i could go on but i have no need.
Second myth. "Snipers always take the shot"- Well again this could be no farther from the truth. We have an old saying... "being a sniper is 99% boredome and 1% pure chaos." The reason? well because you might not always have the best position to fire from and escape. and sometimes the target never even shows. Also if you're not "feeling " the shot then don't take it. It's better to save the element of surprise for another target.
Anyways, i felt i had to at least put 2 myths down. Maybe ill kill more myths in my next posts. Well, we've hit a little off target wouldnt you say, so lets get back to the tips. Setting up the shot. So depending on the environment you are operating in will have an influence in where you want to set up for the shot. No matter where you are shooting from you want to be , if possible, at the same height level as your target. The reason for this is that i've noticed that you feel more comfortable shooting level then if you were shooting down or up at your targets. And your hit ratio will be better too.
Also there is nothing wrong with being an active shooter. This means that you are up and moving with regular units moving as a fireteam then as a passive shooter. What ive explained above in the previous paragraph is the classic sniper, we like to call these guys "sleepers". We call them sleepers because they let the targets get away most of the time so we joke with them asking if they were sleeping while the rest of us where in the thick of it.
So once you have a target in sight and in range, set him up. Get low, stay quiet, and let him pass on right by. You are probably asking " WHAT FOR?! TAKE HIM OUT!!" well because of this reason. if you engage your target with his back to you then you have 3 things in your favour and will give you the best chance of taking that guy out. 1, if you engage with his back turned then you can take your time to set the target up.
2, they will not expect the enemy to be shooting at them from the back. To a wandering patrol, whatever is behind them they consider clear and safe. So by letting them pass they will assume the enemy is ahead and all is okay behind them.
and last but not least, if you engage them from behind and miss, they will not see your shot and you will have at least 1 more chance to take him out before he turns around and takes cover then moves to engage you.
Until then, keep your chin up and head down soldiers. Best Regards. [Submitted by CLAYMORE]

New Solid Airsoft Pistols For Sale
We just got in 4 new models of airsoft pistols last week. All four models are either solid or full metal (no clear plastic).
We have 2 versions of the Smith & Wesson M & P 40 airsoft pistol. Both versions shoot at 394 FPS with 0.12 gram airsoft BBs, are powered by a CO2 bulb and have a tactical rail under the barrel for attaching a laser sight The lower priced model is a classic solid black plastic body airsoft pistol while the higher priced model M&P 40 has a black metal slide and with a desert beige body.
The 2 other new models are both full metal, CO2 powered Semi-Automatic Tanfoglio Airsoft Pistols. They both have blow back which gives you a more realistic shooting experience because when the gun is fired the slide slides back and gives you a bit of the kick back you would experience we’re you firing a real handgun.
The main difference between the Tanfoglio limited custom edition and the Tanfoglio gold custom edition is the top mounted tactical rail in the gold custom edition which allows you to be able to mount laser sights and scopes to the handgun. Both versions fire at 453 feet per second with 0.12 gram airsoft BBs. The only other difference between the two guns is styling differences.

Al Capone and other famous gangsters during the prohibition period made the Thompson model 1928 or Tommy gun one of the most famous sub machine guns of all time.
The M1A1 Thompson with its straight magazine has been a favourite for airsoft players reenacting out WW2 battles as this was the gun used by United States Army G.I.'s during the World War 2. [Submitted by admin]
