Had some questions asked to me recently and thought I would share them and my answers with you. By all means, if you have anything you want to add, feel free to comment.
First question:
What are some tips for remaining hidden (stealth mode)
This is really going to depend what kind of player you are. Patience isn't everyones strong suit and some prefer to be the running man (who blazes through shooting up a storm) and if that's you, stealth mode might not be as good as 'deception' mode where you (as the running man) draw attention (and risk getting shot) while your teammates hide around you watching your back. Enemy comes for you and suddenly he is instantly ambushed.
However, if you are patient, or holding down the flag, or are a sniper, then finding good cover will be the key to success. You will want to find a place where you are covered by your surroundings as much as possible. A solid bunker with limited exposure of yourself would be best but it isn't always possible. This is where your clothing, patience, and teamwork come in handy.
Camo blending with your environment is recommended to help disguise you. Camo works best when you are NOT moving so, when possible, don't move or move slowly.
When it comes to teamwork, excellent communication skills and well formed strategies are important. If you are a sniper, you will want to focus your attention on what's going on through the scope and not what's near you. This means you will need a quick-spotting partner near you to watch your back so you can focus on your task.
Working in teams of 4 is awesome. You can put yourselves in an x formation where each person is facing outward and everyone has everyone else's back. Those who are incredibly observant will be a great asset, even if they don't shoot well; they can still call the enemy out if they are observant.
Second question: What gun do you recommend most? The ones I recommend because I am very familiar with them are anything in the ICS M4 series (R.I.S., CraneStock etc)
Third question: What is the best way to improve aim? Well, the most obvious answer is practice, practice, practice. Practice against still objects, moving objects (um...not passerbys or animals), and practice against still and moving objects while you are moving.
Aside from practicing, a laser sight helps with aiming fast. The NCStar Green Laser is pretty powerful.
Your position will also help greatly. Being in a shooting position (on one knee) can balance out your body so your arms sway less than when you are standing. Running can affect your aim badly (but practice it anyway so you aren't doing it with inexperience) A foregrip on the gun can steady out your arms from swaying as well.
Fourth Question: If you could only have 1 accessory (not necessarily something that has to be 'attached' to your gun) what would it be and why?
That's a tough one since different accessories will help you out in different situations. I'm going to have to go with a scope that is compatible with the distance that your gun shoots. (so a high magnification for a sniper, low magnification for closer range)
Well, that's it for now, I'm going to create a spot in the forum for more questions and I will answer them as quickly as I can.
